Rainforest Trust provides funding to establish and legally recognize protected and conserved areas in tropical and subtropical regions.

As part of its mission, Rainforest Trust is exploring opportunities to support governments in developing frameworks to meet their national 30×30 targets. While the organization cannot fund governments directly, it offers financial support to local civil society organizations.

In addition to funding 30×30 planning efforts, Rainforest Trust is interested in providing follow-up support for implementation. This may include establishing new protected and conserved areas, as well as funding the development of enabling policy tools.
