This high-level event will bring together governments, indigenous peoples and local communities, civil society, and private sector actors to take stock of implementation of the Kunming-Montreal Global Biodiversity Framework as a key climate action lever one year after its adoption. The event will showcase leading and innovative efforts, as well as new commitments, to conserve, protect, and restore at least 30% of land and 30% of ocean by 2030 and delivering the goals of the Paris Agreement. It will also assess and map out climate-integrated pathways for the Framework target of mobilizing USD$200 billion per year for biodiversity funding by 2030, and at least USD$20 billion per year in international biodiversity finance by 2025.
